Hiking is also a favorite pastime for many as the island’s hikes and trails have a lot to offer. Diamond Head is a popular hike for beginning hikers because of its ease and location. For the more experienced, Lanikai’s Pillbox hike is an extraordinary survey of the entire windward side. The hike peaks at a series of bunkers left over from World War II. Snorkeling andscuba diving at Hanauma Bay is yet another activity that is gaining popularity as the ocean life sanctuary is bustling with under sea activity.
